Senior Electrical Manufacturing Technician
Sentien Robotics | San Francisco, CA | Full-time, on-site, occasional travel

About the Role

Sentien Robotics is scaling into low-rate initial production of the Hive platform and related robotic systems. We're looking for a Senior Electrical Manufacturing Technician to own electrical build quality, system provisioning, and deployment readiness on our manufacturing team.

You'll build and integrate the electronics in our systems, verify that every unit meets spec, and make sure each system ships correctly configured and ready to run. As the manufacturing team's electrical point of contact with engineering, you'll help resolve issues quickly and keep production moving. This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Build and integrate cables, wiring harnesses, circuit boards, and electronics assemblies to a high workmanship standard.

• Own electrical inspection and test. Help define acceptance criteria and drive nonconformances to resolution.

• Provision systems before shipment, including software installation, firmware, and configuration.

• Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, firmware, and software issues in production and in the field. Support customer installations as needed, including occasional travel.

• Develop and maintain work instructions, test procedures, and build records as we scale.

• Act as the manufacturing team's point of contact with engineering on electrical issues.

• Provide technical guidance to assembly technicians.

• Support prototype builds and the introduction of new products into production.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on electrical or electronics assembly in a production environment.

• Strong soldering, crimping, harness build, and rework skills.

• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.

• Proficiency with bench test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.

• Experience writing work instructions or test procedures.

• Clear communication and a strong sense of ownership.

Nice to Have

• IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, or J-STD-001 experience or certification.

• Experience taking a product from prototype into production.

• Comfort with command-line tools, logs, and diagnostic utilities. Scripting experience is a plus.

• CAD experience (SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar).

• 3D printing experience for fixtures, jigs, and prototype parts.

• Background in robotics or electromechanical systems.

An engineering degree is not required. We care more about what you've built.

Compensation

$95,000 to $115,000 per year, plus benefits.

Robotics Assembly Technician

About the Role

Sentien Robotics is scaling into low-rate initial production of the Hive platform and related robotic systems. We're looking for a Robotics Assembly Technician to build electro-mechanical subsystems and full systems on our manufacturing floor.

You'll work from drawings, work instructions, and checklists to produce clean, repeatable builds across mechanical hardware, wiring, and electronics. You'll work closely with the Systems Assembly Lead, technicians, and engineers to keep builds moving and flag issues early. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Systems Assembly Lead.

What You'll Do

• Assemble mechanical subsystems and full systems per drawings and work instructions, including fastening, torquing, alignment, and fit-up of structural and moving components.

• Build, route, and install wiring harnesses and cables, including crimping, termination, connector assembly, and strain relief.

• Install and connect electronics assemblies, sensors, motors, and power components.

• Perform continuity checks and basic electrical verification using a multimeter.

• Pull and kit parts for builds, and flag low stock or missing parts early.

• Perform in-process quality checks for part numbers, torque, connector orientation, routing, and mechanical fit.

• Correct defects within scope and escalate issues that need engineering input.

• Record completed work, serial numbers, deviations, and rework.

• Keep your workstation and shared areas clean, organized, and safe.

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in assembly, a technician role, or a skilled trade.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and wiring diagrams.

• Hands-on experience with both mechanical assembly and wiring, such as crimping, terminating, and routing cables.

• Comfortable using hand tools, torque tools, and a multimeter.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in getting it right the first time.

• Consistent, reliable execution, including repetitive work.

• Ability to stand and perform hands-on work for extended periods.

Nice to Have

• Experience assembling robotic, electro-mechanical, avionics, or industrial systems.

• Soldering experience.

• Experience in an early-stage or low-rate production environment.

Compensation

$60,000 to $80,000 per year, plus benefits.
