Production Process Engineering Lead  - Position Overview

Location: San Francisco, CA (Pier 19)

Pay Band Expected: : $145-170,000 base salary for a strong, on-site production process engineering lead who can work with lead assembler, manage materials flow, and create repeatable assembly execution at Pier 19; $170-180,000 base salary for candidates who have successfully formalized early-stage hardware production, improved floor discipline, and materially reduced engineering interruptions and manufacturing chaos in an electro-mechanical environment.

Position Overview

As Production Process Engineering Lead at Sentien, you will own the manufacturing execution plan for the Hive platform at Pier 19. Your role is to bring structure, repeatability, and accountability to the assembly floor by organizing workflows, managing production materials, and ensuring that systems are built correctly and consistently.

This role is not primarily a product-design role. It is a production role for a hands-on operator who can turn evolving engineering intent into disciplined floor execution while reducing chaos, interruptions, and rework. You will work closely with the Assembly Lead, Engineering Manager, and assembly team to establish build rhythm, maintain production momentum, and create the basic operating system required for Sentien to scale.

This role is responsible for current-site manufacturing execution and production repeatability. As Sentien grows toward larger-scale or multi-site manufacturing, this role is expected to partner with broader operations leadership and operate within a more formal manufacturing structure.

Robotics Software Engineer - Position Overview

As a Robotics Software Engineer for Sentien Robotics, you will be leading software architecture,
development and test efforts for a variety of ground and aerial robotics systems. These systems
solve our customer’s problems by offering highly scalable software architecture and ultra reliable
automation hardware that will be integrated into a wide range of applications such as
emergency response, industrial inspection, payload delivery, search and rescue, security, and
defense. Therefore, your experience related to implementing complex robotic systems and
simulations will be critical. You will be working with a small integrated team of experienced
system, software, electrical, and mechanical engineers in a startup environment, so in addition
to masterful technical delivery, you must be able to demonstrate excellent teamwork,
communication, and time management skills.

You will have the following responsibilities:

* Develop robotics software. The primary software development environment is cross-platform
C++ and (to a lesser extent) Python and Android Java. Your software components must
interface and integrate with embedded platforms and mobile devices that run a wide
variety of operating systems and programming environments (e.g. Microcontroller C, iOS,
Android). Technologies you may find yourself working with include UAS/UAV flight
controllers, camera sensors, laser ranging systems (LIDAR), GPS, motor controllers, and
distributed sensor networks.
* Propose and implement experiments to validate that our software meets objectives. For
example, by developing simulations, data visualizations, and analysis tools.
* Work with other team members to design, prototype and evaluate new robotic technologies,
algorithms, and applications.
* Be an articulate subject matter expert in our robotics software and its applications. This
position may require 10% travel to support technical product demonstrations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience in software development
• Solid programming skills in C++
* Passionate about applied robotics
* Ability to independently carry out all phases of a software development process
* (analyze requirements, design, construct, test, debug, deploy, maintain).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Domain knowledge in areas such as computer vision, image processing, machine learning,
artificial intelligence, computational geometry, and signal processing.
* Experience with robotics algorithms in sub-areas such as sensor fusion, control systems,
filters, target tracking, localization.
* Savvy about libraries, tools, software, platforms, and development environments that are
widely used in the field and in prototyping, such as ROS, OpenCV, Gazebo, Arduino,
Raspberry Pi, DroneCode / PX4

Robotic Systems Assembler - Position Overview

As a Robotic Systems Assembler at Sentien, you will play a critical role in the hands-on assembly of our robotic systems. Working closely with engineers and technicians, you will follow detailed assembly drawings and use hand tools to build complex robotic subsystems for a variety of aerial and ground robotics applications. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of fasteners and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities:

* Assemble mechanical and robotic components based on detailed technical drawings and specifications.

* Use hand tools and some power tools, such as wrenches and screwdrivers, to construct subassemblies.

* Manage parts inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available for assembly.

* Collect and organize components required for various assembly stages.

* Perform quality checks to ensure all components are assembled correctly and meet safety standards.

Requirements:

* Familiarity with hand tools and assembly techniques.

* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.

* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Experience with fasteners and mechanical components.

Preferred:

* Previous experience in assembly of robotic or mechanical systems.

* Basic understanding of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of innovative robotic solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
